Birchbark's Matilda the Conqueror goes back along my line through Sugar, Mr. Christian, Seabiscuit, Freddi, back to 1998!
At the Working Dog shows in Massachusetts, Matilda had only been in the ring several times. Joanne deftly handled her to BACK TO BACK 5 point majors, Best of Winners both days!
Then, to top that off, she took 2nd in American Bred at the 2016 Newfoundland National Specialty. WOW!
First time as a SPECIAL, Matilda took BEST of BREED, beating the #1 Bitch in the USA!!!!
